The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports that it is in discussions with the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) ahead of an expected court judgment.

According to ADC publicity secretary Bolaji Abdullahi stated clearly that these claims are false.

At this time, the coalition leadership is not engaging in talks with any political party. The party is fully dedicated to overturning what it describes as illegal actions taken against its leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other agents of the ruling party. ADC leaders argue that reversing these actions is crucial to protecting the rule of law and preserving multiparty democracy in Nigeria.

While the party is open to broadening the coalition to unite opposition forces and rescue the nation, it emphasizes that the current situation places a critical responsibility on the ADC leadership one they are determined to uphold. Any suggestion that the party might abandon its principles or shift alliances is described as speculative and should be disregarded.

Despite what it calls deliberate attacks on democratic institutions, the ADC expresses confidence that Nigeria’s judicial system will uphold justice and resist pressures to undermine democracy at this decisive moment.
