Aregbesola criticises government and speaks for Nigerians

At the convention former Osun state governor and National Secretary of ADC Rauf Aregbesola criticised the policies of President Bola Tinubu

Aregbesola said unlike many political parties controlled by individuals the ADC belongs to the Nigerian people and reflects their hopes and values

He said Nigerians are tired of deceit and poor management and stressed that freedom to belong to any political party is a basic right

He added that the ADC is on a mission to rescue the country from the grip of the ruling party

He also accused the ruling party of promoting an electoral system that encourages wrongdoing and false claims

Rising prices and weak naira hit Nigerians hard

Aregbesola said the government claim of improving the economy is not true pointing out that the naira has fallen sharply from around seven hundred to about one thousand four hundred per dollar

He explained that this has badly affected an import dependent economy making life more difficult for citizens

He also noted that fuel prices have jumped from about one hundred and eighty five to over one thousand four hundred per litre increasing the cost of living

Transport and power problems worsen daily life

He said rising transport costs are putting more pressure on Nigerians who struggle daily to move around and work

Aregbesola also raised concern over poor electricity supply saying many areas now receive only a few hours of power while others stay without light for weeks or months

He added that people are forced to leave their homes to carry out simple tasks because of the lack of stable power
