The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially opened the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for members who want to run for positions in its upcoming ward, local government, state congresses and National Convention.

Party leaders say interested members can now buy the forms to contest for leadership roles at all levels of the party structure. The announcement was shared by Chinedu Idigo, the ADC’s National Organising Secretary, on social media and in a notice issued on Sunday.

The form prices vary depending on the position. An Expression of Interest Form costs ₦2,000. Nomination fees for ward positions range from ₦3,000 to ₦10,000, local government fees are between ₦10,000 and ₦40,000, and state level fees go up to ₦500,000 for chairperson roles. National convention delegate forms are ₦10,000 each, with each local area required to send one delegate.

Candidates must also secure the required number of nominators before submitting forms. Aspiring ward chairpersons need at least 10 nominators, local government aspirants need 20, and state chairperson candidates must have 50, with at least one from each local government area.

The deadline to buy and submit forms is Friday 27 March 2026 and no late applications will be accepted. Screening of aspirants is set for 30 and 31 March 2026.

This process is part of the ADC’s timetable leading up to its internal congresses and National Convention scheduled for 14 April 2026.
