The African Democratic Congress has congratulated all newly elected State Executives and State Chairmen across Nigeria after what it described as peaceful and well organized congresses held nationwide.

In a statement released on April 12, the party’s National Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi said the elections were conducted in full compliance with existing laws and the party’s constitution. He explained that the process showed the party’s strong commitment to internal democracy, transparency, and respect for the rule of law.

He also praised party members, delegates, and stakeholders for how they handled the exercise, noting that they demonstrated maturity, discipline, and unity throughout the voting process. According to him, the peaceful outcome reflects a shared determination to strengthen the party from within.

The party confirmed that the official inauguration of the newly elected State Executives will take place on May 12, 2026. However, it added that the date could be adjusted if necessary, with any changes to be announced by the National Working Committee in due course.

ADC urged the incoming state leaders to stay focused on the party’s vision as they prepare to take office. The statement emphasized that the next phase will require strong unity, discipline, and commitment to building a credible political alternative that can serve Nigerians effectively.

The party expressed confidence that with the new leadership in place at the state level, it will continue expanding its structures, improving grassroots engagement, and strengthening its connection with citizens across the country.

It ended by congratulating all the winners once again and encouraging them to deliver on the expectations of party members and the wider public.
