In a recent interview in Abuja, Garus Haruna Gololo, a prominent figure in the All Progressive Congress (APC), has called upon the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to take decisive action against former ministers and aides implicated during President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
Gololo emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the conduct of former ministers, including those in finance, humanitarian affairs, aviation, and transportation, urging the security and anti-corruption agencies to scrutinize their financial activities while in office.
Additionally, Gololo called for the attention of the EFCC and DSS to focus on individuals connected to the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele. He stressed the importance of holding accountable all former aides linked to the ex-president in the context of Emefiele’s case.
Furthermore, the APC chieftain singled out former presidential aide Sabiu Tunde ‘Yusuf,’ urging the EFCC or DSS to invite him for questioning regarding the reported approval for the redesign of the naira.
Gololo’s call for the arrest, probe, and prosecution of those implicated highlights the ongoing push for accountability and transparency within the political landscape.
