The recently held APC Digital Media Summit is nothing more than a desperate attempt to whitewash the glaring failures of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. No amount of digital propaganda can conceal the daily suffering of millions of Nigerians or reverse the growing disillusionment with this government.

Since taking office, Tinubu has presided over an era marked by deepening poverty, economic hardship, insecurity, and widespread corruption allegations. Over 130 million Nigerians now live in multidimensional poverty a devastating figure that speaks louder than any media spin. Food prices have skyrocketed beyond the reach of ordinary citizens. Basic commodities are now luxuries. Families are being pushed to the brink.

Meanwhile, insecurity continues to grip the nation. Kidnappings, terrorism, and violent crimes persist in nearly every region. Nigerians live in fear not only of criminals, but of a government that appears increasingly disconnected from their suffering.

It is also important to confront the credibility issues surrounding the President himself. Allegations of drug trafficking, money laundering, and certificate forgery have trailed him for years, casting a long shadow over the country’s international image. These are not issues that can be erased with hashtags or glossy summits.

The APC’s digital summit may be an effort to control the narrative, but the truth is plain for all to see: Nigerians are fed up. No media campaign can cover up hunger, joblessness, or fear. People don’t need propaganda to tell them how they’re living they see it every time they go to the market or lose sleep due to insecurity in their communities.

Looking ahead to 2027, it is clear: Tinubu has lost the trust of the people. There will be no second chance. Nigerians will remember who failed them and they will act accordingly by kicking Tinubu out of Aso Rock.
