The Legal Adviser of Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chief Ifeanyi Olumba has announced his resignation from the position and declared support for Peter Obi’s Presidential ambition.

Olumba announced his resignation in a press conference in Owerri, Monday, where he also appealed to his supporters to join the campaign team of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

Blueprint gathered that Olumba had served as Transition Committee Chairman of Orlu local government area and was one time Board Chairman of Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) before he was elected APGA Legal Adviser.

In his words, “Today, I want to use this opportunity to announce my resignation as the Legal Adviser and member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Imo State Chapter.

“I consider this as a sacrifice I have to make, and a contribution I have  to make, geared towards the task of nation-building, believing that we must build a new Nigeria.

“If we must do what the previous generations and some of the current political leaders have not done, it only requires sacrifice. My resignation here is not borne out of any ill feeling for APGA. My faith and belief remain unshaken that in the duo of Ex Gov. Peter Obi and Sen. Yusuf Datti-Ahmed, we have found Plato’s ideal philosophers and statesmen.”
