The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has issued a stern warning of a potential nationwide strike unless their demands are met by the government.

This warning was given by the ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, during a press conference held at the ASUU national headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.

Professor Osodeke attributed the looming strike action to the government’s inaction following the dissolution of the universities’ governing council in May of the previous year. He emphasized the government’s responsibility to be transparent and accountable to the people for every decision it takes.
