African Democratic Congress chieftain Atiku Abubakar has unleashed fresh criticism on President Bola Tinubu describing everything about the current government as wrong and calling it the worst he has seen in his long political life.

The former Vice President who left the Peoples Democratic Party to join the African Democratic Congress made the remarks during a live interview on Arise News Prime Time program on Wednesday evening. Atiku spoke with clear frustration about the direction of the country under Tinubu.

He said that one would basically sweep everything aside because nothing seems to be working right with this president. Atiku added that honestly in his entire life this remains the worst administration he has witnessed. He described his feeling as one of terrible disappointment while noting that the comment was a broad summary of the situation.

He said Bola Tinubus All Progressives Congress was dead on arrival from the beginning. This have triggered renewed debate about the performance of the present government especially on the economy security and daily living conditions of ordinary Nigerians.

As a top figure in the growing opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress Atiku continues to position himself as a strong voice against the ruling party. His latest outburst comes amid preparations for the 2027 general elections where he and other opposition leaders aim to present a united front to challenge Tinubu.

Political observers note that Atiku who was the main opposition candidate in the 2023 presidential election has now fully aligned with the African Democratic Congress after quitting the Peoples Democratic Party in 2025. His strong words are expected to further heat up the political space as different parties gear up for the next major contest.
