Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, have paid tributes to Late Gani Fawehinmi and young journalist, David Hudeyin, for their work their work in exposing the discrepancies in the certificates of President Bola Tinubu.

The former vice president made the comment in his opening remarks following the deposition of the Chicago State University (CSU) that the certificate Tinubu presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was not from the institution.

Atiku stated that the late human rights lawyer, Fawehinmi, started the campaign against Tinubu’s educational credentials before his death.

He also praised Hundeyin for continuing the work Fawehinmi started and commended other young Nigerians on social media for continuing the conversation.

The Adamawa-born politician stated that the truth has finally caught up with the president over his controversial educational qualifications.

”No matter how fast a lie runs, the truth will overtake it,” Atiku said in respect to the president’s certificate scandal.
