“I’m Not Scared of Legitimate Opponents”

He accused his opponent of breaking the law and questioned their legitimacy, citing issues with fake certificates and forfeitures in their history.
“The People’s Power Will Prevail”

He claimed that the Labour Party defeated the ruling APC and PDP in Lagos, despite their control of the state for 24 years.
“Irregularities in the Election Process”
Baba-Ahmed also addressed the irregularities in the election process, stating that the APC and PDP did not have 60% of the votes in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
He criticized the declaration of results at 4:00 AM, questioning the dynamic changes that occurred during that time.
He said, if there election again, believe you me, they come out, we will defeat them, is left for them to go, and twist the constitution again, change the meaning of English language, three letter words and declare by 4:00 AM., with all the dynamic that happened in 4:00AM, it is unspeakable while it has to be by 4:00 AM.
In conclusion, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed’s interview with Arise TV provided a platform for him to voice his concerns about the recent elections and his opponents. He emphasized his confidence in the people’s power and his belief in playing by the rules, while also highlighting the irregularities he perceived in the election process.
NN News Media report that There are allegations that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria submitted a forged certificate from Chicago State University (CSU) to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in order to run for president.
Tinubu’s main rival in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, filed a case in the US seeking to compel CSU to release Tinubu’s academic records that prove the forgery.
Tinubu has also faced allegations of drug trafficking and money laundering while living in Chicago in the 1980s and early 1990s. In 1993, he forfeited $460,000 to the US government over links to a drug trafficking syndicate.
The Supreme Court of Nigeria ultimately upheld Tinubu’s election victory, ruling that the new evidence from CSU could not be introduced at that stage of the proceedings. The allegations of certificate forgery and drug trafficking continue to dog Tinubu’s presidency.
