The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that the 2023 general election will go ahead as scheduled.

On Monday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) raised fresh fears that the general election faced serious threats of cancellation and postponement if security challenges across parts of the country fails to improve.

Yesterday, at the 17th edition of the PMB scorecard series (2015-2023), the federal government conveyed assurances that the elections would go ahead as planned through its Information and Culture Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Government assured Nigerians that nothing will derail the elections.
