The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the suspension of Drambi Vandi, an assistant superintendent of police (ASP), who was arrested over the killing of Bolanle Raheem.

The approval was announced in a statement on Thursday by Ikechukwu Ani, PSC spokesperson.

The suspension comes hours after a recommendation by Usman Baba, the inspector-general of police (IGP).

Raheem, who was pregnant at the time of her death, was shot on December 25 in the Ajah area of Lagos state.
