A recent social media post incorrectly claims that Dr. Chioma Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State, is the first to install a bus stop in the state.

However, historical records indicate that bus stop stations were established in various locations, including Abiaploy, Opobo, and Brass, as far back as 1991.

These installations were made possible through donations from the Abia North and South Federal constituencies, debunking the assertion that Otti’s recent project marks a first for the state.

Additionally, in 2021, another bus stop was constructed in Aba North by the Umu Aba Connect group, further disproving the claim.
