The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a bold challenge to any Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governor or leader, daring them to publicly label him a mole.

During an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television political program in Abuja, Wike dismissed the allegations as baseless.

“Before I accepted the appointment as Minister, I sent letters to the PDP at the state, zonal, and national levels. Who in the PDP is calling me a mole? Let them name names,” Wike said, making his stance clear.

He criticized certain individuals within the party for thinking they are clever, stating, “In this country, some people think they’re smart. What I want to do, I will do. What I don’t want to do, I will not.”

Wike further escalated the confrontation by daring any PDP governor or National Working Committee member to publicly accuse him on national television, adding, “I dare anybody in the PDP to come forward and call me a mole.”

Reflecting on his refusal to support the PDP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Wike said his decision was based on principles of equity and fairness, insisting that he had been transparent about it. He emphasized the party’s electoral successes under his leadership, saying, “Did the PDP not win the governorship, National Assembly, and state assembly in my state? I challenge any PDP state to match our results. That’s leadership.”

In closing, Wike asserted that he is a man of his word, standing firm against accusations that question his loyalty.
