A former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has called for an independent investigation into the controversial Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) result of young Miss Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme from Anambra State.

Dr. Ezekwesili made the remarks on her Twitter handle, @obyezeks, on Monday, following the hoopla that attended JAMB’s claim that Miss Ejikeme forged the result.

Reacting to the development, Ezekwesili demanded an independent tech investigation to unearth all facts behind the fuss.

She tweeted:

“This saga between Mmesoma Ejikeme and @JAMBHQ requires an Independent Tech investigation to unearth all facts.

“Listening to her in this video, it is reasonable to request a forensic investigation to help reveal what really happened. I have reached out to the Registrar of JAMB.

“An Independent investigation would turn this curious episode into a Learning Opportunity for @JAMBHQ and everyone, especially students.

“I frankly see no downsides in asking a team of Independent Technology folks to investigate and publicly share their findings. Let’s do it.”

Meanwhile, on her part, the academic wizkid from Anambra State has reacted to the controversial result she obtained from JAMB.

Narrating her ordeal in a video, she said that the education board defamed her.

In the video, 16-year-old Mmesoma said that JAMB’s accusation that she forged her result left her traumatised, while noting that the result represents her true achievement.

Reacting to Ezekwesili’s remarks, a Twitter user, Iyke @soccerMASTER, hailed her and said:

“Madam, Thank you for lending your voice and support. But I’d like to point out the intentional act of JAMB to defame a MINOR while a matter is still under investigation. There’s an undertone to this harsh and demeaning taint. JAMB did all this because she’s IGBO. Why DSS?”
