The Ebonyi South Stakeholders Forum, in response to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s announcement of bye-election dates nationwide, has thrown its unanimous support behind Hon. Linus Abaa-Okorie, a former House of Representatives member and aspirant from the Labour Party, for the Ebonyi South senatorial position.

Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, the spokesperson for the forum, expressed the group’s conviction that Abaa-Okorie, with his proven competence, is well-equipped to provide top-notch representation in the zone. The decision was made during a meeting held in Onicha local Government Area of the State.

Onu highlighted Abaa-Okorie’s commendable track record as a two-term member of the House of Representatives, emphasizing how he transformed the narrative and brought hope and relief to his constituency.

“We have reviewed the political developments in the state and Ebonyi South in particular, and we have decided to add our strong voices to it. Our decisions are far-reaching as stakeholders and leaders of Ebonyi South zone,” said Onu.

The stakeholders, recognizing the caliber and competence of aspirants across various political parties vying for the upcoming re-run in Ebonyi South, collectively endorsed Hon. Linus Abaa-Okorie.

Onu stressed that Ebonyi South requires a popular and experienced choice for effective representation, and Abaa-Okorie has demonstrated the competence and capacity to deliver quality services to the zone.

Onu asserted, “In this endorsement, we totally distance ourselves from any other adoptions and urge all the people of Ebonyi South zone to support the ambition of the Labour Party aspirant, Linus Abaa-Okorie.”

The forum calls on the people of Ebonyi South zone to rally behind Abaa-Okorie’s Labour Party in the upcoming bye-election, emphasizing the need for widespread support to ensure a successful and impactful representation for the region.
