In a recent development, Dr. Jacobson Nbina, the Commissioner for Transport in Rivers State, has officially resigned from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet.
This decision marks the eighth resignation among the commissioners who previously served under the administration of former Governor Nyesom Wike.
In his resignation letter, Nbina expressed gratitude to Governor Fubara for the opportunity to serve in his administration and extended well wishes for a successful tenure.
The political landscape in Rivers State continues to be turbulent as the clash between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, intensifies.
Notably, other high-profile resignations include the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor (SAN), Commissioner for Works, Dr. Des George-Kelly, and Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs. Inime Aguma, among others.
