Simon Ekpa, the self-proclaimed leader of the Biafra Government in Exile, has been actively hosting Zoom meetings in recent days to raise funds from his supporters.

These meetings, observed by NN News Media, are part of Ekpa’s ongoing efforts to secure financial support for a major Biafra independence declaration event scheduled for December 2, 2024, in Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

According to sources, Ekpa’s aim is to collect sufficient funds to charter a private jet and cover travel expenses for Biafra Government in Exile members and international allies expected to attend.

In recent weeks, Ekpa has amplified his separatist agenda, including calling for “sit-at-home” protests earlier this week. He has also circulated images on social media, purportedly showcasing military resources, which were later debunked as misinformation. One widely shared image, claimed to depict weaponry from a Togolese incident, turned out to be misleading, adding controversy to his campaign.
