The major issue in the charges against Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu has crashed as the organ donor, Ukpo David Nwamini has admitted he is 21 years of age.

One of the charges slammed against the Ekweremadus was that the purported kidney donor was a minor.

Meanwhile, at the resumption of the trial today at Westminster Magistrates Court, Mr David Ukpo admitted to being 21 years of age according to AriseTV.

The legal representative to Ekweremadus denied any form of exploitation or an intent to exploit the alleged victim.

Present at the Westminster Magistrates Court are former senate minority leader – Eyinnanya Abaribe, former Senate President – David Mark, former Minister of State for Education – Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs – Adamu Bulkachuwa.

The trial was adjourned till August 4. Both are to remain in custody till the next hearing.
