The suspended Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, CFR, is in our custody the Department of State Services has confirmed.
According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Peter Afunanya, in a statement on Saturday, DSS hereby confirms that Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative reasons,” it said.
Emefiele was arrested in Lagos and flown to Abuja for questioning.
The agency had via its Twitter handle on Saturday, June 10, 2023, said Emefiele is not with the DSS.
NN News had learnt that the Emefiele was arrest shortly after President Bola Tinubu suspended him.
