Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate from the 2023 elections, recently engaged with the youth of Onitsha, Anambra State, during an event organized by the Faithspiration Initiative.

In his statement, Obi emphasized the importance of hard work, discipline, and integrity as essential components for achieving success.

Obi shared his personal journey, highlighting that success is not predetermined by one’s background but is a result of dedication and the right choices.

He noted that he was born in Onitsha and completed his primary and secondary education there, reflecting on how he would have pursued higher education locally if a university had existed at that time.

During the event, Obi announced that 25 youths would receive financial assistance of N300,000 each to support their various ventures.

Additionally, he committed to empowering two more individuals every month starting in January. He expressed gratitude to the organizers for their initiative, reinforcing his belief that a “New Nigeria” is achievable.

This interactive session underscores Obi’s commitment to fostering youth empowerment and promoting a culture of diligence and integrity among Nigeria’s younger generation.
