Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State warmly welcomed the newly elected National Executive Committee of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, led by President-General Senator John Azuta-Mbata.

In a statement released Mbah, said emphasized that this leadership change is a collective victory for all Ndigbo, showcasing a solid succession pattern through a peaceful election.

This is not just a personal triumph for the new leadership; it is a collective victory for all Ndigbo,” the Governor remarked. He praised the orderly succession process and acknowledged the role of his fellow governors in ensuring its success.

Governor Mbah emphasized the critical challenges facing Ndigbo at this moment in history, expressing confidence in the new leadership’s ability to navigate them effectively. He reiterated the need for unity, drawing on the metaphor of a quiver full of arrows or a tightly bound broom to illustrate the strength in togetherness.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo remains the soul of our people,” he stated, urging the new leadership to form a united front and address the pressing issues confronting the Igbo people. He called for concerted efforts to tackle existential threats and reaffirmed his administration’s support for their mission.
