The Former member federal House of Representatives, who represented Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza, Honourable Abdullahi Umar Muslim, has charged the new governor of Kebbi state, Dr Nasir Idris to maintain his known character traits of honesty, justice and fairness to the entire Kebbi electorates who voted him to power.

Muslim who is a political ally to the sitting Governor Idris, stated that the reason the people of Kebbi state massively voted for him was because they knew his ability to meet their expectations of rescuing the state through lofty policies that would have a direct positive bearing on the poor in the state.

While dissecting his inaugural speech, Muslim said sectors he pledged to revamp include agriculture, education and security “I personally believe he can do it with prayers and support from the people that is why I am admonishing him as an ally and a loyal party stalwart to march his words with actions as already he is a man of few words but many actions, so I congratulate him and the people of Kebbi state for their wise choice he said.

On whether he will accept the call to serve his state, he said yes it was part of the reason he didn’t decline to join campaigns because as a member at the lower Chambers, he served the state so if given another opportunity to serve at the state level he will join hands with the governor to serve the people of Kebbi state because the state needs to be elevated to the next level at least to compete with other states of the federation in terms of infrastructure and welfare to the citizenry.

He urged politicians and civil servants in the state to support Governor Idris as he would a leader for all as he piloted the affairs of Kebbi state for four years he said.
