Mahdi Shehu, a well-known political analyst, recently shared troubling update via his X social media handle.

According to Shehu, it’s a tough time for a former governor which his name was not mention from the Northwest region who served his state for eight years. He has reportedly suffered a massive loss of $120 million investment in Ukraine.

This unfortunate loss is a fallout of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The governor had made significant investments in the establishment of fertilizer plants in Ukraine. Sadly, these plants were among the many that were destroyed by Russian war missiles.

The governor had chosen this unexpected location for his investments, possibly to steer clear of scrutiny. However, as the saying goes, “God is omnipresent.”

Despite his support for Tinubu, the individual’s request to be appointed as an ambassador to Ukraine was declined. Interestingly, he responded to this decision with congratulations.

This situation brings to mind Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.” It serves as a reminder that despite our best-laid plans, it is ultimately the divine will that prevails, he stated.
