Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has announced the appointment of Attahiru Jega, former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as the Pro-chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

The appointment, confirmed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Aliyu Ubandoma, aligns with the governor’s commitment to academic excellence.

Jega, a former Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, and ex-president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), will lead the institution’s governing council, along with newly appointed members Shuaibu Kore, Thomas Ogiri, and Mary Enwongulu.

The inauguration of the governing council will be announced at a later date.
