The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Aisha Galadima, a political associate of the former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, for criticizing the incumbent Governor, Senator Uba Sani, on her Facebook page.

According to reports, Galadima’s arrest followed a post on her Facebook page, where she criticized the Governor for disclosing the heavy debt burden left behind by his predecessor.

The DSS operatives reportedly arrested Galadima at her Tudun Wada residence in Kaduna on Sunday afternoon. One of Galadima’s brothers confirmed the arrest in a telephone conversation with an online platform.

The arrest of Galadima has raised concerns about the freedom of expression and political association in the state. The DSS is yet to release an official statement regarding the arrest.
