The governor of Rivers State, Barrister Nyesom Wike may endorse Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party any moment from now, a source close to the controversial governor authoritatively told News Band Newspaper.

The source said that governor Wike has decided to follow the path of equity and Justice by endorsing the former governor of Anambra State.

The source said, “Wike will endorse Peter Obi any moment from now. An official statement will be made in this regard. Wike stand for equity and Justice. Endorsing Peter Obi is the right thing to do at the moment”.

Recall that the Niger Delta-born politician has been at war with his Party — Peoples Democratic Party after he lost the presidential ticket to Atiku Abubakar in 2022.

Wike who is the leader of G-5 governors, has called for the removal of Senator Iyiorcha as the chairman of the party.

He said it will amount to injustice for the presidential candidate of the party and it’s chairman to come from the Northern region. (News Band)
