Tragedy struck in Delta State as a key government aide, Mr. Sunny Kotor, reportedly slumped and died suddenly while still actively serving.

Kotor, who worked as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol to the Delta State Government, was widely recognized for his role in coordinating official events and serving as a Master of Ceremony at high-profile state functions. His sudden collapse on Friday has left colleagues, government officials, and the wider community in deep shock.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Warri, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, described the incident as a painful and unexpected loss. He noted that Kotor’s passing goes beyond his immediate family, affecting the entire state that benefitted from his dedication and professionalism.

Kotor was known for his calm personality, strong organizational skills, and the dignity he brought to every assignment. His presence at official engagements was described as both commanding and reassuring, setting a high standard that many admired.

Officials also reflected on the unpredictable nature of life, calling his death a sobering reminder of how fragile human existence can be. Condolences have been extended to his family, friends, and colleagues, with prayers offered for strength as they cope with the loss.

The Delta State Government joins many in mourning a devoted public servant whose impact will not be easily forgotten.
