The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has cast his vote in the ongoing Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections in the State.

Sanwo-Olu cast his vote at Unit 019, Lateef Jakande Avenue/Femi Okunnu in Ikoyi II at exactly 10:40 am.

The Lagos state governor commended high voters turn out, saying, “We have just witnessed casting of my vote this morning. We (himself and his wife) are happy with the turnout from INEC. We are happy with the level of turnout at the polling unit.

“Election that leads to a democratic process is the best form of a validation of what true democracy should be about. This contest is about peace, progress and prosperity for out State and our country at large and I appeal to you (referring to journalists) to preach for everyone to express their civic responsibilities freely, fairly and transparently.”

Sanwo-Olu is in the race alongside Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of Labour Party and Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
