Pastor Segun Adegboyega met a tragic end on his farm in Gege village, Ogbomoso, allegedly at the hands of suspected herdsmen.

The assault took place on Monday along the Ogbomoso-Iseyin Road, prompting the arrest of three individuals linked to the pastor’s killing, who are currently in custody at the Owode Police headquarters.

In response to the distressing event, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, addressed the community on Monday evening, appealing for calm. He assured the community that justice would prevail, and those responsible for the pastor’s death would face the full force of the law.

Oba Olaoye emphasized his commitment to collaborating with law enforcement agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice and prevent future occurrences. Expressing sympathy for the community, he condemned the tragic situation and vowed to work towards ensuring the safety of Ogbomoso.

Herdsmen attacks have become a prevailing concern in Oyo State, raising urgent questions about the security and protection of local communities.
