The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma has, on Wednesday, been unanimously elected as chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors Forum.

Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Uzodinma, disclosed this in a press release issued in Owerri, the state capital.

Governor Uzodinma was elected in Abuja during a meeting with all APC Governors present.

According to the statement, the choice of Uzodimma for the position was a source of pride to APC governors who attested to his capacity to lead them.

He said: “Governor Uzodimma’s latest responsibility came barely three days after he was conferred with the honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by the former President, Muhammadu Buhari and another honour, last weekend, by the former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.”
