The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, exudes confidence as he anticipates a smooth victory in the 2027 elections, buoyed by the strategic alliances his political camp has forged.

Speaking at a thanksgiving service hosted by Senator Barinada Mpigi in Koroma, Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday, Wike emphasized his preparedness for the upcoming electoral contest.

“Considering the alliances we have garnered, I see no formidable challenge ahead. It feels as though 2027 is just around the corner. Personally, I cannot wait,” asserted Wike, highlighting the unprecedented unity within his political faction. He underscored the rarity of such cohesion, particularly noting the harmonious coexistence of rival parties within Rivers State.

“The unity we exhibit here is remarkable. Despite attempts to sow discord, we remain steadfastly united,” Wike remarked, emphasizing the distinctive political landscape of Rivers State where diverse parties collaborate effectively.

Wike further endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s economic reform initiatives, acknowledging the complexities inherent in revitalizing the nation’s fortunes within a constrained timeframe.

“Supporting President Tinubu’s economic reforms is paramount. Transforming the nation’s trajectory demands patience and concerted effort,” Wike affirmed, urging for sustained collaboration towards national progress.

The event witnessed the presence of prominent figures including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Martin Amaewhule, among other dignitaries, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
