An Islamic cleric and Chairman of Elders and Spiritual Council of National Peace Volunteer (NPV), Sheik Muhammed Adam has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to choose an Igbo person to succeed him.
This was contained in a letter dated 2nd June, 2022, and addressed to President Buhari.
The author suggested the following six persons as viable options:
(a) Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu
(b) Hon. Rotimi Amaechi
(c) Senator Ken Nnamani
(d) Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba
(e) Governor Dave Umahi, and,
(f) Barr. Uju K. Ohanenye
The letter reads:
Your Excellency Sir,
THAT PEACE, SECURITY, UNDERSTANDING, UNITY AND PROGRESS SHALL RETURN AND BE ESTABLISHED IN NIGERIA: CHOOSE YOUR SUCCESSOR, THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF APC FROM IGBO LAND OF NIGERIA, HOWEVER NATIONAL PEACE VOLUNTEERS SHALL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT YOUR EXCELLENCY TO SELECT YOUR SUCCESSOR THROUGH CONSENSUS.
In August 2021, Almighty Allah (God) joined Barr. CAPEOO Emejulu Okpalaukwu Okpalaezeukwu (AE Okpala) and I, to work for peace, security and progress of mankind, starting with Nigeria through the Anambra State Governorship Election of 2021. We formed NATIONAL PEACE VOLUNTEERS-NPV, to continue our MISSION and to specifically support Your Excellency in the fight against Insecurity using none-kinetics.
The National Peace Volunteer (NPV) is building on the foundation and noble activities of IGBO OHANAEZE INTEGRITY GROUPS (IOIG), and OJININE SECURITY WATCH. We gathered and facilitated other organizations like: Igbo Fulani Elites Groups, Ndi Igbo of Nigeria, and many others.
These groups powered National Peace Volunteers-NPV. We, the members of NPV, report our activities directly to Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), through the Chief Defence Intelligence Agency, Major General S A Adebayo.
For the sake of Justice, Equity and Fairness, select your successor from Igbo Land to give them a sense of belonging.
OPTIONS FOR SELECTION OF YOUR SUCCESSOR THROUGH CONSENSUS:
A. FIRST OPTION
1. Your Excellency Sir, we humbly suggest that you use consensus option or arrangement to select your successor in the forthcoming APC Presidential Primary.
2. Select a tested and trusted Presidential Aspirant from lgbo Land. Your Excellency sir, kindly consider the under listed gentlemen and lady from lgbo land:
(a) Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu
(b) Hon. Rotimi Amaechi
(c) Senator Ken Nnamani
(d) Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba
(e) Governor Dave Umahi, and,
(f) Barr. Uju K. Ohanenye
The above names from their leadership records and credentials have what it takes to win democratically in the forthcoming 2023 Presidential Election with your Excellency’s support.
This if strategically done, will go a long way in checkmating, reducing and eradicating the security challenges and “wars” being witnessed in the country as well as the activities of the proscribed IPOB, other Pro-Biafran agitators and violent crimes.
B. SECOND OPTION
Your Excellency, we suggest that if you are to select a good and marketable Presidential Aspirant from the North, select the likes of His Excellency, Senator Ahmed Lawal the current Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Considering trust and loyalty, your deputy His Excellency, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo should be considered.
However, NPV resolved to support whoever Almighty God directs Your Excellency as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to select, for peace security, understanding, unity and the progress of Nigeria.
We will do our best for APC to win the 2023 Presidential Election and continue supporting Your Excellency.
On no account, should Your Excellency be intimidated by any individual who believe that He or She can purchase and conquer political parties, as per PDP or States as some of the past Governors did.
Thanks for your excellency selfless sacrifices and may Allah (God) continue to guide and protect Your Excellency. Insha Allah, peace shall return to our dear nation, Nigeria soon.
