Despite the press conference held by seven other aspirants running for the office of the Abia State Governor under the People’s Democratic Party, the party primaries have been held and a winner has emerged, according to ELOMBAH reports.
In the statement they issued, the aspirants said they were withdrawing from the primaries.
In the contest which held at the Umuahia Township Stadium, Professor Uchenna Isaac Ikonne polled 468 to emerge the flag bearer for the party.
