The Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l Jihād otherwise known as Boko Haram terrorist group has abducted seven persons in Magumeri local government area of Borno State.

It was gathered that the terrorists stormed the village of Ngamma on Thursday evening and abducted the victims comprising of three men and four women at gunpoint.

According to information obtained from intelligence sources by Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad, the victims were ferried away toward the axis of Gudumbali.

The sources said that the terrorists later demanded for ransom from the families of the victims.

A security source, who confirmed the incident, said that the Boko Haram terrorists have been exposed to hunger and hardship due to the continued attacks by both the Nigerian Military and its rival faction, forcing them to resort to kidnapping for ransom.

More than 300 Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to the troops of the Nigerian military in Mafa, Konduga and Bama within the past one week after the rival ISWAP terrorists dislodged the strongholds of the Boko Haram in Gaizuwa otherwise known as Mantari, Gabchari and Maimusari, in Bama local government area of the State.
