The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has recorded a significant milestone in its expansion as Alhaji Aliyu Bello a two-time State Youth Leader and former State Financial Secretary of the PDP in Kaduna State officially joined the party, bringing with him thousands of enthusiastic PDP youth members.

Announced on August 27, 2025, by the National Youth Leader of the ADC, Balarabe Rufa’i, the defection signals growing momentum behind the party’s vision for inclusive, youth-driven leadership. Alhaji Bello’s entry was not a solo move it marked a coordinated shift by a large bloc of politically active young Nigerians seeking a credible and forward-thinking alternative.

The event was attended by top political figures including Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai (Northwest Leader of the Coalition), Mallam Jafaru Abbas, Mallam Bashir Sa’idu, Suleiman Ibrahim Dabo, and other respected party stakeholders a clear demonstration of ADC’s widening reach and national relevance.

“This is not just a political move it’s a generational statement,” said Balarabe Rufa’i. “Alhaji Aliyu Bello’s decision, backed by thousands of young progressives, shows that the ADC is becoming the true home for credible leadership and youth empowerment.”

He added: “We are not just building a party we are shaping a new political culture. One where experience meets energy, and action replaces empty promises.”

As the ADC continues to attract experienced leaders and committed youth from across the country, the party stands poised to redefine Nigeria’s political future one step, and one movement, at a time.
