The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, actively participated in preventing an attack on Zakka village in the Safana local government area.

During this intervention, the governor, along with security personnel and military troops, successfully rescued a 33-year-old man who had been abducted by armed bandits.

The rescue took place after a 30-minute gun battle with the terrorists in Zakka forest. Governor Radda, who was in Safana for an empowerment programme, received a distress call about the impending threat to Zakka village and quickly joined forces with the security team.

The governor directed the rescued man, who was shot in the leg by the bandits, to be taken to the hospital for urgent treatment.

Meanwhile the terrorists managed to escape without suffering any casualties after their mission was thwarted.
