A United States law firm has shared a statement on the social media platform X in direct reply to a post by Nigerian Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo.

Von Batten Montague York LC said agents and officials working for Nigerian President Bola Tinubu are openly celebrating a court ruling that reportedly shows they arranged to remove his main rival from the race for the next presidential election.

The firm said it will present Keyamo post to members of President Donald Trump administration and to members of Congress. Keyamo serves as Minister of Aviation. That role has nothing to do with elections or electoral integrity. A senior congressional staffer described the post as an open display of election interference by the Nigerian government.

Keyamo wrote that justice may be slow but it is always sure. He said no one can invade a political party owned and built by Nigerians and hijack it with the connivance of a so called National Chairman without a prior meeting and approval of a mini National Convention or the National Executive Committee. He said those who try this cannot hope to bluff their way out of such a brazen act by blaming and blackmailing the ruling party for a misfortune they deliberately stocked.

Keyamo added that the law is decided on facts and evidence rather than sentiments and outrage by a group of people. He said it is not only when a certain Atiku Abubakar contests the Presidency that democracy is not in danger. The ADC as a party is well and alive and populated by people and original leaders who are no less Nigerians than a David Mark and his illegal band of marauders.

The firm predicted that in a few months Tinubu will look at this court ruling and at Keyamo post as the defining moment when the rope the United States has been giving him to figuratively hang himself finally became the instrument of his own political downfall.
