Olusola Ebiseni, the South-West coordinator of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, is set to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State.

The move is seen as a strategic step in preparation for Ebiseni’s plan to contest in the 2024 governorship election in Ondo.

Ebiseni, also the Secretary General of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, and a former two-term commissioner under the PDP-led government, is expected to lead members of the ‘Obidient movement’ and his supporters to the PDP, as confirmed by his aide.

The defection is scheduled to take place today, with supporters from across the 18 local government areas of the state joining Ebiseni in returning to the PDP fold.

A source from the state executive council of the PDP has also anonymously confirmed Ebiseni’s reunion with the party.
