Labour party has urged Nigerians to disregard Apapa’s led group propaganda, insist Julius Abure and three other NWC, remains the National Chairman and leadership of the party.

In a statement by the LP Acting National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, on Friday, 12th May 2023, said that Apapa’s group is peddling in their usual way of misinforming Nigerians but purely for the purpose of determining the jurisdiction of the court.

Justice Hamza Muazu of FCT State Court, had ruled on Friday declined jurisdiction on the matter brought by Apapa led faction of the party, he then adjourned the case on May 19 for further deliberation.

Meanwhile, LP has appealed the decision of the FCT, High Court. According to them, we know we will not get justice from the court.

The FCT State High Court under his Lordship, Justice Hamza Muazu today said Court had on Friday.

In his Lordship ruling, he said that he will go ahead to hear the substantive matter. The matter has been adjourned to Friday, May 19 for further deliberation. Today’s sitting is not for judgement as Apapa’s group is peddling in their usual way of misinforming Nigerians but purely for the purpose of determining the jurisdiction of the court.

However, we have appealed the ruling immediately because we know we will not get justice from the court.

Meanwhile, Barrister Julius Abure remains the National Chairman of the Party pending the final determination of the matter.
