The immediate past Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (SGF) Abubakar Chika Malami (SAN) has lost his younger brother, Dr Zubairu Malami, who died at the age of 55 years old.

Late Dr Zubairu Malami died early Monday morning following a brief illness at his residence in Birnin Kebbi.

Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, who attended the funeral prayer of Dr Zubairu Malami, expressed shock over the news of the sudden death of the deceased.

The Governor, who joined the former Minister of Justice in receiving condolences from sympathisers beseeched Allah to forgive the deceased and admit him into Aljannah Firdausi.

He also prayed to Allah to give the former Minister and the bereaved family the courage and fortitude to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people including top government functionaries, politicians, and community, religious and traditional leaders are trooping to offer their condolences to Malami.

Prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

Late Dr Zubairu Malami, 55, who is survived by one wife and five children, had since been buried according to Islamic rites.
