The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has charged candidates of the party running for House of Assembly seats in Anambra State to brace up for victory.

Obi made the call after a closed-door meeting with the House of Assembly candidates in Awka on Friday, March 10, 2023.

Addressing journalists after the closed-door meeting, Obi said he had charged the candidates to go for victory, while also urging them to ensure that they work with the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, when they win.

Reacting to a video where the Anambra State governor, Prof. Soludo had said that he would not work with members of other political parties who emerge in the House of Assembly election, the Labour Party Presidential Candidate said he did not charge the LP candidates to impeach the Governor when they emerge victorious.

“We are not urging anyone to impeach any other person. We held a meeting with our House of Assembly candidates, and we are calling on Nigerians to vote for Labour Party.

“We are not asking anyone to go an impeach anyone. People should not be afraid of impeachment. We only seek to get things right in Nigeria,” Obi said.
