Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defense, has challenged Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal’s assertion that the Sokoto Federal High Court ordered the retrieval of 50 vehicles in Matawalle’s possession.

The court recently dismissed Matawalle’s suit over the ownership of official vehicles he took when leaving office.

Lawal’s spokesman claimed that the court rejected Matawalle’s claims, stating that he and his cabinet members had taken away all state government official vehicles.

In response, Matawalle countered, insisting that the court did not authorize the invasion of his residence or the retrieval of the 50 vehicles donated to him and President Bola Tinubu.

The minister challenged the governor to produce court documents supporting his claim and emphasized that the court only dismissed Matawalle’s case after his voluntary withdrawal.
