Renowned Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has taken to social media to plea with Seyi Tinubu, son of prominent political figure Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to implore his father to address the current economic challenges facing Nigeria.

Following the recent removal of fuel subsidies, Nigerians have grappled with a relentless surge in the prices of essential goods and services, exacerbating hardships across the nation.

Expressing deep concern over the dire situation, Aigbe emphasized the gravity of the issue, highlighting the widespread hunger, suffering, and mental distress experienced by many.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, the actress implored the government to take decisive action to alleviate the economic strain on citizens.

Aigbe’s appeal extended to Seyi Tinubu, urging him to leverage his influence and engage his father in dialogue to seek solutions.

“People are hungry! People are dying! People are going out of their minds! The present situation in the country is TERRIBLE! The government should please, please, we are begging, they should do something about this economic hardship! IT’S UNBEARABLE @officialasiwajubat @seyitinubu, please beg your father for us! O to get!!!!” she wrote.

With her passionate plea, Aigbe adds her voice to the growing chorus calling for urgent measures to address Nigeria’s economic woes, appealing to both government officials and influential figures to prioritize the welfare of the people.
