Mr Romanus Ejikeme, has tendered unreserved apology to Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Nigerians following her daughter’s (Mmesoma Ejikeme) indictment by a panel of inquiry set up by Anambra State government to investigate the controversies trailing her UTME result.

The committee in their final report which was obtained by this medium confirmed that Mmesoma Ejikeme actually manipulated her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result.

The report of the panel also recommended that Mmesoma should tender an unreserved apology to the examination body, Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Nnewi and the state government.

Recall that Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, had sat for the UTME in May and came under scrutiny for fronting the “highest score” of 362, which the examination body—JAMB later revealed was manipulated

However, Mr Romanus who sounded very remorseful after the report of the panel admitted that his daughter lied.

While noting that he regretted all his actions based on the deliberate misrepresentation of facts by her daughter, Romanus said, “My daughter didn’t open up to me on time.

“When I realized what she did, I regretted all my earlier actions on this matter. I apologize to Nigerians and JAMB. I still beg JAMB and Nigerians to pardon her.”
