Dr. Betta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, refutes allegations surrounding the transfer of N585 million intended for public poverty alleviation into a private account.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had suspended Edu, accusing her of diverting funds earmarked for the welfare of vulnerable citizens in Akwa-Ibom, Cross-River, Lagos, and Ogun.

Edu, addressing Npower beneficiaries on her Facebook page, maintains her commitment to fighting corruption. She urged supporters to remain resilient amid the accusations, emphasizing that her “heart and hands are clean.”

In her statement, she warned of potential misuse of government machinery by individuals with “impure intentions” and called for solidarity in navigating through the challenges.

Amidst the controversy, the suspended minister stands firm, denying any wrongdoing and rallying supporters against what she perceives as an orchestrated attempt to tarnish her reputation.
