The Nigeria Air Force (NAF), through the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Hadin Kai, conducted a successful operation on December 9 in Borno State.
Scores of Boko Haram fighters were killed, and a critical armory belonging to the terrorist group was destroyed at Amchile within the Gezuwa area around BAMA Local Government Area.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, the recent operation by the Nigeria Air Force was conducted around 1900 hours after Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions revealed the presence of a significant number of Boko Haram fighters in the targeted location.
In the recent operation, the ISR platform carried out multiple waves of attacks on the target area, resulting in the destruction of a Boko Haram ammunition dump and the elimination of scores of terrorists.
The first wave of attacks successfully hit the suspected ammunition dump, causing it to catch fire. The few surviving Boko Haram members attempting to flee the area were subsequently eliminated in follow-up attacks, according to information from an intelligence source cited by Zagazola Makama.
