The statement expressed profound grief, describing President Geingob as a distinguished servant of the people, a liberation struggle icon, the chief architect of the Namibian constitution, and the bedrock of the Namibian nation. Urging the nation to remain calm, Acting President Mbumba assured that the government would handle all necessary state arrangements, preparations, and protocols. In a poignant plea, Mbumba stated, “At this moment of deepest sorrow, I appeal to the nation to remain calm and collected while the Government attends to all necessary state arrangements, preparations, and other protocols.
