Professor Theophilus Ndubuaku, the National Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Political Commission, has lauded Senator Nenadi Usman for her integrity and leadership qualities, deeming her an excellent choice to lead the Labour Party (LP) as the new Caretaker Committee Chairperson.

In an interview with Vanguard, Ndubuaku revealed that Usman’s appointment was a joint decision supported by all key stakeholders, including LP’s Presidential candidate Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti of Abia State.

Addressing rumors that the NLC had set conditions for endorsing the Caretaker Committee, Ndubuaku clarified that the NLC had been consulted throughout the process and is supportive of the new leadership structure.

He underscored the NLC’s commitment to democratic principles and its stance on ensuring fair opportunities for all candidates in elections. Ndubuaku expressed strong confidence in Usman’s ability to address party differences with a nurturing approach and to steer the party toward a successful future.

Noting the party’s recent victories in Lagos and Abuja as evidence of its growth potential, Ndubuaku called on all stakeholders to unite behind the new leadership. He highlighted Usman’s exceptional integrity and leadership skills as pivotal in the party’s efforts to reposition and strengthen its position.
